The RAJA Foundation allocates 80,000 euro for women.

The RAJA Foundation awarded 5 associations committed to women’s rights.

During the award ceremony “Fondation RAJA Women’s Awards, which was held on 19 November, the RAJA-Danièle Marcovici Foundation honoured five associations that work concretely in the world in favour of women.

More than 400 people attended the prize-givingceremony, which took place on Wednesday 19 November at the Maison de la Mutualité (Paris), in the presence of numerous RAJA employees.

Three Grand Prizes of €20,000 and two ‘Coup de coeur’ prizes of €10,000 were donated to the following associations:

  • Women’s Rights in the Fight against Violence’ Prize: Femmes SDF, which takes in homeless women in Grenoble
  • Education and social action‘ prize: Asie Tana Inter Aide, which looks after marginalised women in the slums of Manila (Philippines).
  • Training and professional integration‘ award: SIAD, which supports onion pickers in Burkina Faso.
  • Coup de coeur_France: Etablissements Bollec, for the initiative of a women’s magazine created by women prisoners in Rennes.
  • Coup de coeur_International: Actions de Solidarieté Internationale, which promotes the social reintegration of girls forced into prostitution in Congo.

Daniéle Kapel_MarcoviciPresident of the Foundation and General Director of the RAJA Group, emphasised that through the Prix prizes, the Foundation wishes to “bearing witness to the injustice and violence that women suffer in order to incite everyone to act”..

Pascale Boistard, Secretary of State (France) in charge of Women’s Rights and patroness of this 2014 edition of the Prix, wanted to Witnessing by their presence their support for the Foundation for its commitment to women.

At the ceremony, the Foundation encouraged personal donations from the participants, starting with the jurors, followed by the committed singer Agnés Bihil, who donated her own concert during the evening.
