Rajapack protects products and the environment
Earth Day has been celebrated since 1970, ever since the American public mobilised, along with Senator Nelson, in the wake of the Union Oil spill.
In recent days, on the occasion of Earth Day on 22 April, initiatives in favour of the environment have multiplied in Italy as well: from theEARTH DAY ITALIAN NETWORK, to VIP VERY IMPORTANT PLANET, A CAMPAGNA AMICA…
Even Environment Minister Galletti has officially stated that the linear economy, which characterised the 20th century, is no longer economically advantageous; instead, the circular economy, which consumes fewer raw materials and produces less waste, is. It seems that the government will facilitate this transition through a Green Act.
In Paris between November and December, COP21 will be held: the assembly of all the countries of the world to combat climate change.
What about Rajapack?
- We reduce the number of paper catalogues sent each year. In the first quarter of 2015 we sent 90,765 fewer catalogues compared to the first quarter of 2014. This is a 36% reductioninversely proportional to the growth of the Italian subsidiary.
- We buy responsibly, from manufacturers who comply with European environmental laws.
- We use chlorine-free paper from responsibly managed forests (FSC and PEFC paper).
- We continue on the path of optimising our certified environmental management ISO 14001 since 2014.
