RAJA supports the project “every woman is a flower”

2min read 14/02/2018

The Piacenza Local Health Authority and the Armonia Onlus association have launched the Ogni donna è come un fiore (Every woman is like a flower ) campaign to upgrade the Women’s Health Centre, a reference point for territorial mammography screening.

THE PROJECT

The project Every woman is like a flower involves the entire structure of the Women’ s Health Centre, which will be the subject of a decorative intervention.

Thepictorial humanisation of the Women’s Health Centre in Piacenza is curated by Sally Galotti, designer and cartoonist. Together with the health staff and the Armonia association, the designer from Forlì is working to facilitate the reception of women in their most delicate moments.

The theme of flowers has been chosen to decorate the walls, as a symbol that speaks to women, and each clinic will feature a different species.

YOU SHARE, WE DONATE!

To spread the initiative we have published a post on our Facebook page which we invite you to share.
For every share made by 8 March we will donate 1€ to Armonia Onlus in favour of the Women’s Health Centre.

Thanks to this project we will be able to do something concrete for women who have to undergo difficult examinations such as a biopsy.

Our contribution is to finance the restyling of the Relaxation Room, a reassuring space within the Women’s Health Centre that will reduce the stress that accompanies the wait for the result.

We made this choice in order to give voice and resonance to an extremely delicate and often underestimated issue such as the prevention of women’s diseases.

THE RELAX ROOM

The flower that will be represented on the walls of the relaxation room is the poppy and was chosen by the women of Rajapack. This small gesture is a symbol of an ideal chain of female solidarity, to make those who have to cope with illness feel less alone.

The room will also be equipped with cosy and comfortable furniture, an herbal tea corner and a diary for writing one’s thoughts.

This diary, whichwill be specially made by the Piacenza artist Elisabetta Casella, isa very special object for us because it will also contain a dedication of our own to women.
