Secure shipments – why use fillers?

2min read 21/11/2017

One of the most important markers of a company’s professionalism is its attention to customer satisfaction and the proper protection of products during shipment. This is why protecting the goods and displaying them properly is so important.

Nowadays, the quality of deliveries has become a business card and a form of relationship between a company and its customers. When running a business that involves the shipping of products, we realise that we have no influence over certain factors of transport. These include the poor state of the roads or the carelessness of couriers.

Nevertheless, we are able to prevent damage to our goods and ensure that the products being shipped are as safe as possible. How do we ensure customer satisfaction?

It is worth using various types of fillers, which not only allow the cushioning of shocks during transport, but also help to present the product aesthetically.

Small remains beautiful

It is not always possible to fit a product’s packaging perfectly, especially when it is small or consists of several parts. In order to ensure its safety during transport, it is necessary to carefully fill in the gaps and free spaces created. Decorative coloured fillers made of spiral paper fibres will do the job perfectly.

This type of filler not only holds its shape so that the product is properly immobilised, but also has a decorative function.

Soft as a pillow

Larger products can be effectively protected with fillers in the form of foil cushions consisting of 99% air. They allow the product to be immobilised and absorb potential shocks. They effectively protect all goods against movement in the packaging during delivery.

Their advantage is that they do not spill out when the package is opened, which makes it easier for the customer to unpack the parcel.

Wrapped in special protection

To protect fragile items, RAJAPACK offers dedicated fillers made of polyethylene foam. This material ideally protects goods from scratches and mechanical damage.

There are many PE foam solutions available on the market: foam films, which are ideal for wrapping glass and polished wood, product separation sheets or cushions filled with foam granules.
