RAJA Group announces acquisition of Staples Solutions companies

The RAJA Group – a leader in the distribution of packaging, supplies and equipment for businesses – announces its intention to acquire the Staples Solutions companies in France, Italy and Spain. Staples Solutions is a leading provider of products, services and office solutions for businesses in Europe.

The contract concerns four brands: JPG, Mondoffice, Kalamazoo and Bernard. The planned transaction is part of the Group’s strategy to increase sales, expand its customer base and diversify its product offering. Following the acquisition of the aforementioned entities, the RAJA Group’s workforce will increase to almost 3,000 full-time employees and turnover will reach €1 billion.

This move will allow the RAJA Group to include a range of products and equipment for small and medium-sized companies as well as large multinationals. The Group will be able to develop partnerships with European customers in all sectors.

Following the planned acquisition, the RAJA Group will occupy key positions in two major B2B distribution markets: office supplies and furniture and cleaning and maintenance products. The Group will invest in the purchased brands of Staples Solutions,whose B2B distribution activities, combined with a multi-channel strategy, complement its current activities.

The transaction will be finalised in October following official approval and completion of employee consultation.
