Black stretch film – ideal for packing parcels and pallets.
Stretch film is indispensable for palletisation, but it is also used for packing smaller but heavy parcels, as well as regular irregularly shaped parcels. What are its advantages and applications? What types are available in the RAJA shop? Is there an ecological stretch film?
Stretchfilm is primarily used to stabilise and secure goods during transport and storage on pallets. Black stretch for packaging is a material commonly used in the transport and courier industry. Due to its stretchability, it makes it possible to secure goods quickly and, more importantly, effectively. It is also used to stabilise loads on pallets, as the wrapped cargo does not move during transport. It is made of a three-layer polyethylene film, which is why it is so strong.
Application of stretch foil
Black stretch is primarily used to stabilise and secure heavy goods on pallets – during transport as well as storage.
Stretch film in transport
Cargo wrapped tightly in black stretch for packaging does not move during transport, so it is stable. In addition, it is also used for smaller shipments, e.g. irregularly shaped and of unusual dimensions. It is often used to secure books. It is therefore not only a pallet wrapping product, but also a parcel wrapping film.
Stretch film during travel
But black stretch film also has some unusual applications. It is popularly used during holidays to secure suitcases – especially the so-called shell suitcases. Wrapping the suitcase protects it during the transfer to and from the plane.
Stretch foil for animals
In addition to this, the film is also used to construct winter kennels for free-living cats. The cat box is made of polystyrene foam and is covered with black stretch film on the outside. This protects it from adverse weather conditions.
Stretch film for moving and storing things
It can also be used during a move to protect valuable items from damage. It can be used to store things in rooms such as cellars, garages and sheds. It can also be used in the garden to cover greenhouses or vegetable sheds.
Advantages of black packaging film
Stretch film has a number of advantages, here they are:
- extraordinary flexibility
- resistance to abrasion and tearing,
- possibility to hide the contents of the load (discretion),
- strong adhesive layer,
- quiet unwinding,
- excellent adhesion – tight adhesion protects against accidental unwinding,
- airtight (protection against getting wet, dirt),
- unauthorised persons will not easily open a parcel secured with black foil,
- ease of use – wrapping a parcel takes a short time and does not require the use of accessories.
Black stretch film available in the RAJA shop
The RAJA shop offers a wide range of stretch films, i.e.: black packaging film, clear film, coloured film, pre-stretch (pre-stretched) film, blown film, mini rolls of stretch film and even eco-friendly recycled cast stretch film.
Pre-stretch film is the most economical and efficient. It is twice as thin as traditional film and does not stretch during application. It is very efficient due to its optimum pre-stretch. It is very easy to use – its application is effortless – there is no need for additional stretching of the film when wrapping loads. It is made of polyethylene stretched using the “blown” method. The inner side is adhesive. This film does not stretch even during long storage of loads.
The coloured film comes in white and blue. To maintain discretion, it is sufficient to wrap the load with it three times. When used individually, it enables the contents to be identified quickly. It is quiet to use.
The eco-friendly recycled cast film is versatile – for wrapping homogeneous loads. Available in 2 colours: transparent green for quick identification of contents and opaque black for complete discretion. It is made from 80% recycled polyethylene film.
The blown stretch film is stretchable up to 150% in two directions. It is self-adhesive and resistant to low temperatures. It is the ideal film for wrapping pallets. It is great for stabilising palletised cargo – it is made of polyethylene stretched with a blown type stretch. It protects goods even with very sharp and protruding edges.
