Cardboard boxes for parcel machines, where to buy them, what sizes can they be?

InPost parcel machines are an extremely convenient and popular method of sending and receiving parcels. The number of parcel machines from other companies is therefore also increasing. Where to buy a cardboard box for a parcel sent this way and what should it be like?

The key issue is, of course, the correct size of the packaging. What are the maximum dimensions of a parcel machine carton for box A, B or C? What about the limitations on the size of parcels in Allegro One Box, DPD, Poczta Polska or Orlen parcel machines? We answer!

Popularity of parcel machines and suitable cartons for shipping

InPost parcel machines are the most popular method of sending parcels in Poland. This is not surprising, as the solution is cheap and, above all, very convenient. Both sending and collecting parcels is possible 24 hours a day. There are also more and more parcel machines, and parcel collection is often possible as early as the next working day after dispatch.

Shipping itself, on the other hand, is very simple, as the parcel can be posted online or directly at the parcel machine. This works similarly for competing parcel machines. The packaging, on the other hand, does not have many special requirements compared to cartons for dispatch by post or courier. They must, however, be of a suitable size to fit into the box in the parcel machine.

What dimensions can cartons for InPost parcel machines be of?

InPost parcel machines have three sizes of lockers (size A, B or C). The sender is therefore subject to different size restrictions depending on which box they choose.

A carton for Parcel Machine – Size A may have maximum dimensions of 8 x 38 x 64 cm (height/width/depth);
A carton for Parcel Machine – SizeB should be no larger than 19 x 38 x 64 cm (height/width/depth);
A carton for parcel post– Gabaryt C, on the other hand, is a package with a maximum size of 41 x 38 x 64 cm (height/width/depth);

What about the weight of the parcel? The maximum is 25 kg, regardless of whether it is an A, B or C size parcel box.

How large can cartons for parcel delivery to other parcel machines be?

Allegro cooperates with InPost and uses the company’s parcel machines, but at the same time invests in its own One Box parcel machines. What size and weight restrictions apply to these machines? The dimensions are the same as for parcel boxes A, B and C. The maximum dimensions of the package are therefore 41 x 38 x 64 cm. The weight, on the other hand, is up to 20 kg.

However, in the case of parcel machines of the other companies present on the Polish market, the largest permissible dimensions and weight may be different. At DPD Pickup Station, for example, it will be 47 x 40.2 x 57.6 cm (height/width/depth) and up to 20 kg.

Parcel machines of the Polish Post Office can also be used to send and receive parcels weighing up to 20 kg. However, the maximum dimensions of the shipping cartons are slightly larger than for InPost parcel machines and are respectively:

Format S: 9 x 40 x 65 cm (height/width/depth);
Format M: 20 x 40 x 65 cm (height/width/depth);
Format L: 42 x 40 x 65 cm (height/width/depth).

Orlen has a still different policy regarding parcel machines. Although here too there are three options, each differs not only in the maximum size of the dispatch carton, but also in the weight of the parcel:

Format S is a maximum of 9 x 40 x 65 cm (height/width/depth) and up to 5 kg;
Format M, on the other hand, is 20 x 40 x 65 cm (height/width/depth) and up to 20 kg;
Format L, on the other hand, is 42 x 40 x 65 cm (height/width/depth) and up to 25 kg.

Where to buy a carton for a parcel sent by parcel machine?

RAJA offers both small, medium and large cartons for parcel post. These are cut cart ons from what is known as a die-cutting die. This method makes it possible to make packs of any size. RAJA dispatch cartons of this type are therefore a very wide choice – as many as dozens of options, which makes it easy to match the dimensions of the packaging not only to the parcel box, but also to the size of the item being sent.

Of course, not every item sent by parcel post necessarily requires cardboard packaging. In some cases, envelopes of various kinds are suitable. It is therefore worth knowing what can be sent in an envelope and what should be sent in a cardboard box.
